Sweeping changes within the Licensed and entertainment Industry have resulted in personnel requiring accredited training and certification, leading to badges or licenses, to fulfil their given role.

NGP Training Ltd offers a full and varied portfolio of BIIAB accredited courses including the National Certificate for Door Supervisors, Level 1 Award in Responsible Alcohol Retailing, National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders, National Certificate for Designated Premises Supervisors & The National Certificate for Licensees (Drugs Awareness); as well as bespoke training to suit your organisations needs.

Our trainer (MBII.TP) not only accredited tutors by the BIIAB, but draw on continued experience in the field as Licensees, Venue & Event Managers, Promoters and door supervision work to ensure their training is accurate, relevant, current and experiential.

National Certificate for Door Supervisors

The SIA issues Licences to door supervisors who meet their criteria. To qualify for an SIA Licence you will need to satisfy three requirements:

  1. Pass an identity check
  2. Pass a criminal records check
  3. Possess a recognised door supervisor qualification.

The BIIAB Level 2 NCDS is such a recognized qualification and consists of two units:

Unit 1 - Roles and Responsibilities of Door Supervisors: Including how to comply with the law, admission policies and procedures, refusing entry, searching, seizing articles, eviction, use of force, how to deal with emergencies, drugs, arrest, scene preservation and report writing.

Unit 2 - Conflict Management for Door Supervisors: Takes candidates through managing conflict by applying dynamic risk assessment approaches, understanding the importance of self-awareness and acting proactively; how to resolve and learn from conflict.

This 4 day course is run monthly, in Central Brighton.

National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders

Licensing law in England and Wales states that anyone who authorises the sale of alcohol to the public must hold a personal Licence.

Those who wish to obtain a personal Licence need to apply to their local authority. Applicants will be asked for a number of things to support their application; these will include proof that they hold a licensing qualification such as the BIIAB NCPLH.

This 1 day course is run monthly.
